If you’re like us, you can hardly believe that it’s already July. The show, race and cruising seasons have been in full swing for months now, and for some that means that there are just a couple good months left to take part in their automotive hobby. But while July means the peak of summer, it also means the annual Collector Car Appreciation Day. This year, we hit Collector Car Appreciation Day, headed by SEMA and the SEMA Action Network, with a local cruise in at SEMA headquarters to bring plenty of custom car action your way.
Here’s a quick preview of our recent trip to Diamond Bar to celebrate the day with SEMA. Stay tuned for a full play by play of this event and the weekend’s events.
Started back in 2009 by the Specialty Equipment Market Association and their related SEMA Action Network (SAN), Collector Car Appreciation Day is celebrating its fourth year this year with even more events, shows, cruises and classic rides. Conjured up to give the automotive hobby a special day of honor, Collector Car Appreciation Day celebrates the classic car industry and what the hobby of restoring and enjoying old cars does for individuals, communities and the economy.
This year, Collector Car Appreciation Day will be celebrated at dozens of events across the country.

Summer is about enjoying your vehicles, whether you drive a hot rod, classic car, custom or muscle car, and Collector Car Appreciation Day brings even more attention to the perks of the automotive hobby. So be sure to dust off your special ride and join in the fun next year as the entire automotive community celebrates Collector Car Appreciation Day.
