Back in 1999, the annual gathering of horsepower fiends known as TX2K began, and this year, the fifteenth running, brought out an astonishing number of incredible cars to take place in all of the festival’s events in and around Houston, Texas. Those events include a roll race, dyno day, “After Dark”, and a drag racing event, all of which took place over March 12th-16th, 2014 – this past weekend. It’s a veritable cornucopia of horsepower from all makes and models, from Underground Racing’s famous twin-turbo Lamborghini machines to the Corvette seen here, built by Late Model Racecraft – themselves no strangers to big horsepower.

As one of the Lone Star State’s premier performance shops, the team at LMR had this awesome nitrous-injected and supercharged C7 Corvette on site to make some dyno runs, and we get the pleasure of checking out the action up close and personal-like. 

The car exhibits one hell of a rumble and sounds absolutely insane on the dyno. The car uses one of East Coast Supercharging‘s kits based around a Paxton NOVI 2200R compressor, and from what we understand, the LT1 engine in this machine has pumped out over 1,100 wheel horsepower on its best pull.

We’re not sure whether that best pull was made with or without the giggle gas, but there are a pair of bottles in the trunk – we’ll leave you to wonder about that. The guys at LMR are famous for putting together incredibly high-horsepower street-going machines, and this C7 Stingray appears to be no different from their status quo.
