This is a custom made gas tank for a 1969 Firebird, but would also work in a Camaro. This tank is from Rick’s Tanks and Accessories, based out of El Paso, Texas. 

The customer in this video just received his new tank and is going over all the features of the tank. He talks about how the corners of the tank were notched since the rear of his F-body has a mini tub kit. 

All of the tanks from Ricks are handcrafted pieces of art. Each seam is TIG welded, and you can see that in this video. The tank itself is constructed from heavy duty stainless steel and everything needed to complete the installation comes with the tank, included new straps. 

This tank actually uses a stock 2010 Camaro fuel pump as well. This means that you can easily go down to your local Chevy dealer and order another one, should this pump fail. The pump itself has a single feed line to the motor. On the business end, there is dual pick ups that get installed in the tank. This means if all the fuel is sloshed to one side or another, the pump will be able to suck up fuel. 

Also included is the fuel gauge sending unit, to properly show the level of fuel in the tank. Other minor things like a welded in bung for vent and ground strap have been thought out and included as well. 

Once a tank arrives at your door, its a matter of installing the fuel pump and forgetting about it. This tank will work flawlessly and look even better doing it! Make sure to give the folks at Ricks Tanks a call for your next project.
