We’ve all had our fair share of experience with bad drivers, and maybe some of you reading this are ones yourselves, but on this episode of Canada’s Worst Driver, we find out just how much worse those pesky drivers can be. Let’s just say that traffic laws don’t seem to apply to some of these individuals, but that’s alright, because on a closed and monitored course, they’re being instructed on the right way to do things. However, these unlikely driving students didn’t quite get the memo before the show’s brand new Camaro got wrecked. Check it out in the video above.

Airing on the Discovery Channel, Canada’s Worst Driver takes eight drivers nominated for their poor driving behavior and their nominators to the Driver Rehabilitation Centre.

In order to get there, the nominees must drive themselves from an hour away using directions provided to them. Once at the facility, the drivers’ licenses are confiscated and the drivers are sent off to compete in challenges aimed at improving their driving skills.

At the end of every episode during a given season, drivers are evaluated for their performance and placed in one of three categories: graduated, expelled or continuation of the program.

The people who graduate show great improvements, being able to leave the program with their licenses. Those expelled, however, are dubbed unfit to complete the program, not motivated to learn or unsuitable for driving and are consequently kicked out. This type of elimination continues until just two or three drivers remain for the final challenge, which tests all the drivers’ supposed learned skills. This results in the remaining drivers judged individually as graduates, non graduates or Canada’s Worst Drivers.

In the episode you see above, the remaining drivers after one graduated and one was eliminated are taking on the “Eye of the Needle Challenge,” a challenge which asks drivers to maneuver through tight arches with as little as an inch clearance for their vehicle on either side. Adding injury to insult, the contestants must complete this challenge first in a right-hand drive car.

The episode also features some hairy challenges in a 1970 Monte Carlo and a boat-towing exercise with the already wrecked fifth-generation Camaro.

We won’t spoil all the fun for you so we’ll leave it at that, but if you’re looking for some entertainment, this video is certainly worth a watch (and it might just open your eyes to how good of drivers there really are on the road as well).
