We stumbled on a YouTube video from a group called Hot Brass and Bullets. The gun thing makes us freeze in our tracks every time, but this one caught our eyes for a different reason. The video featured a pretty clean looking 1958Â Chevy Apache Fleetside with twin turbos.
This is not your typical vintage truck and it is clear that the buggy is highly modified. Once we saw it light up on the street, we knew that nobody was going to run away from this truck. It’s so modified that the only thing original on it is the body. Everything else seems to be upgraded with modern technology, so the truck gives the impression of being old school with all the modern muscle that you could ever want.
According to the video, the horsepower work was done by Hales Speed Shop. It is equipped with a set of 60mm Turbos by JDM. The guys at Hales have it dialed in because the truck sets the tires on fire and runs pretty wild down the road.
Even with the punch that the old school truck throws now, the crew is looking forward for more horse power and they plan on installing an LSX engine under the hood once they blow the current motor.
This kickass old school truck is a perfect example of what kind of hot rods are coming out of Texas these days. A tip of the hat to the guys at Hales Speed Shop!
What we really found amusing in this video was Caleb, the truck’s owner, casually talking about the truck while warming a bottle of Corona up in his hands.
