If you haven’t been living in a cave for the last few weeks, chances are you’ve probably heard of the horrific story about the Hooper couple and their destroyed 2012 ZL1. On December 15th, the Hooper’s ZL1 fell victim to an employee joyride while in the hands of Georgetown, Delaware dealership First State Chevrolet.
Since then, there has been an amazing outpouring of support for the Hoopers across the car community, especially by other Camaro owners, and it looks like things have finally reached a satisfactory resolution, with a suitable replacement car found. As a result, Aaron Pfadt of Pfadt Racing has stepped up to ease the blow of this devastating incident by giving the Hoopers something special for their next ZL1, a set of ZL Spec sway bars. Aaron has always been a generous soul and this latest act of kindness only further lends credit to his good nature. Â
Aaron’s generosity has not gone unnoticed to the car community, as other companies such as Cold Air Inductions and Diode Dynamics have stepped up to the plate as well, providing an intake system and LED lighting for their next ZL1!
While we’re sure the Hoopers would much rather have their original car in undamaged condition, it’s nice to see the aftermarket give them a late Christmas with stockings stuffed full of parts for their next car.
