You may have seen a recent news item showing the 11 “My Garage Collection” Corvettes that Mike Yager of Mid America Motorworks will be bringing to the Mecum Auction this coming weekend in Indy. Considering we can seldom stop ourselves from perusing a new list of cars, we happened to stumble across a rather interesting C2 resto-mod.

Nearly every hobby out there has its collection of purists, and the Corvette world is certainly not immune to them. The purists out there are probably already wondering why somebody would do such a thing. We aren’t here to argue if that’s your preference, but just keep in mind that we don’t have the backstory on this car, and it may have been far from original when it was found; like a body and frame rotting away in a barn. Either way, we try to take a laissez-faire attitude with builds as nearly every person’s vision of the ideal Corvette differs.
That being said, we really dig it. If you’re both a fan and in the market, Mecum Auctions is estimating the car to go for $175,000 – 200,000 so get ready to step up to the plate!
