There have been a lot of videos floating around on YouTube lately having to do with people making Vette Karts out of aging, late-model Corvettes. But there haven’t been many (if any) videos of guys LIFTING aging, late-model Corvettes!
Okay, to be honest, he’s not lifting an entire Corvette, and again, it is a video dealing with a Vette Kart, or at least the beginnings of one. We recently came across Erich Heinig’s video of him deadlifting his ’88 C4 Corvette in his garage. The car is pretty heavily stripped, with no engine, trans, interior, body panels or even wiring, so we’re not sure how much the car actually weighs, but we still don’t want it landing on our pinky-toes!

Erich is just a car guy, setting out to do extraordinary things. But first, he needs to get the project Corvette off the ground, literally.
Erich plans to build the car as one of those Vette Karts that are all the rage nowadays, and once the car is finished, he intends on driving it – A LOT! In fact, he plans on driving the car across the US of A and giving rides in it. The plan is to raffle off rides in the car, with all proceeds going to a homeless veteran’s organization.

As you can see, the car is currently stripped down. But will be full of fun and functionality when Erich is done with it.
He has joined with the National Coalition For Homeless Veterans and together, they seek to serve those who have served their country. Erich has started an Instagram account, appropriately called “Vet Kart” and folks can check in on the progress both by subscribing to his YouTube channel, and also checking out his Instagram feed. So, how much does a stripped-down C4 weigh? Well, you’ll just have to subscribe to Erich’s YouTube channel to find out when they do the live weigh-in.
