Many people say that the high water mark for muscle car styling occurred in 1969. Some refer to the ’69 Camaro, while others might refer to the ’69 Charger, but we happen to think that this ’69 Chevelle ranks right up there when it comes to good looking sheetmetal. As a big plus, if you dig the big Chevy as well it can be yours for a mere $40K! As far a we can tell that price seems like a bargain.

We found this car while perusing through Pro-Touring.com and the current owner, Nathan Weber purchased it in 2005 as a recently restored and “real” Super Sport car. The body and frame are completely rust free and the current owner had the proginal Code 51 Blue paint stripped and removed so it could be painted it’s current color of 2005 GTO Midnight Blue.

While the car does have upgraded Hotchkis suspension and big Wilwood’s on all four corners, it’s the giant solid lifter 502 under the hood that really caught our eye. It was purchased from Jesel, has a GM Forged crank, Scat rods, JE Pistons, AFR 335 heads with full roller rockers, a Comp Cams bumpstick, and a huge 1000 CFM Demon carburetor.

The entire package is good for 625 horsepower and comes with the amazing sound that only a big block Chevy can make. To be honest, with the huge craze of LS power these days we thought people had forgotten about big blocks. Thankfully, this Chevelle’s owner didn’t, and we’re all the better for it!
