The American Modern Insurance Group has been putting in some incredible time and effort into restoring their 1965 Malibu SS, and we’re excited to say that they are nearing the end. So, instead of doing an update video like usual, the crew of The Build decided to reflect a little bit about what the build project has meant to them and what they’re most excited about once its finished. Check out the video above.

When the classic Malibu first made its debut on The Build, everyone pretty much had the same reaction- that deer in the headlights look, like “you think that’s ever going to be gorgeous again?” But once the dedicated professionals from the insurance group got a game plan solidified and they all started in on the tasks at hand, everyone began falling in love with the project.

Now over a year and a half later, the Malibu is nearing its completion- a bitter sweet ending to a build that has been a part of so many American Modern employee’s lives. But when all is said and done, none of them will regret their work on the project and will have the satisfaction of knowing that they helped breath new life into the once thought totaled Chevy.

We’ve been following the crew of The Build all along and will continue to do so as they continue to check off milestones on their build project. We’re some of the group’s biggest fans and can’t wait to see what the Malibu will look like back in its prime again once she’s finished.
